</p><p>There are many benefits to using weight lifting as your main source of exercising. As well as increased strength, increased muscular size, better muscle tone, weight loss, more energy and increased ligament and tendon strength.</p>
<p>Exercise programs are developed to stimulate your muscles and provide a healthy cardiovascular work out routine. A cardiovascular workout is a normal process that will therefore increase respirations and then will go on to stimulate the heart and make it work faster and more efficiently. The effects that you will hopefully see after an exercise program would be a stronger body and then increase the body&#8217;s stamina in turn. </p>
<p>A weight lifting exercixse program will have a certasin set of free weights and also the use of weights that are on a pulley system, which are exercise machines. These exercise sets will then concentrate on certain parts of the body. It does not matter how heavy the weight is that is being lifted, the weight lifter is using resistance to exercise and then the calories being burned will turn to weight loss.</p>
<p>A successful exercise program that is based around weight lifting can increase the weight sizes and making more muscle for their bodies, or they could use less weights to increase and improve greatly their muscle tone.</p>
<p>As we get older, our tendons and ligaments will eventually lose their elasticity and suppleness. Just because the age increase does not mean that you have to stop weight lifting, it will just mean you will have to regulate what exactly it is you are doing and the strength at which you are doing them at. </p>
<p>The muscles are held to the bones by your tendons, when you exercise these they will maintain their strength and tone.  The ligaments are what holds our bones to our bones, are also exercised and therefore strengthened. Also the ensuing strengthening of the muscle will minimize the exertion placed on the tendons and ligaments which will result in the possibility of less strains and sprains. Exercising right is exercising safely, which always must be done.<!-- odiogo-notts-begin -->

</p><p>Finding a weihgt lifting program that works successfully just for you can seem like a never ending task. It can be easier if you consider everything that you want to get out of the weight lifting program. It does pay to be thorough when you are choosing the right weight lifting program that works for you as it could pay back ten fold if you find the perfect one.</p>
<p>You first need to see your doctor before undertaking any physical activites, especially when you are starting to do a weight lifting program as these are strenous and physically can be exhausting. You do not want to end up injuring yourself in the process of a weight lifting program, so it always best to have a medical before starting the program.</p>
<p>When you have seen your doctor and have been given the all clear, you then need to consider what it is exactly you want to achieve through a weight lifting program. Decide which part of your body you specifically want to work out and improve as this wills ave time later on. The part of your body that you do decide to work out through a weight lifting program, will ultimately decide on what kind of weight lifting exercise you will undertake. Take for example, if you wanted to exercise your chest muscles through a weight lifting program, then you probably use the dumbbell presses, incline dumbbell flies or what is known as flat dumbbell presses.</p>
<p>If you decide that it is your abdominal area that needs attention, you will more than likely need to perform such exercises as crunches or reverse crunches. If your are trying to tone and improve your abdominal muscles then you will need to include some amount of resistance training to see any real improvement. Resistance training will need to be used in all weight lifting programs and exercises, as it is the resistance that works the muscle. </p>
<p>If you are looking to improve the muscles in your back, the training you should be doing are exercises like the one-arm dumbbell rows, bent-over barbell rows, and pull ups. If you have, or want broader and stronger shoulders you should use exercises such as the overhead dumbbell presses, lateral dumbbell presses, and seated rows; and for arms you should include exercises such as standing barbell curls, incline dumbbell curls, lying overhead triceps extensions, and flat bench triceps dips into your workout routine.</p>

</p><p>If you are wanting a toned body and weight loss that can be controlled, well if you are there is something that you can do to help yourself acheive those goals, that is weight lifting. If you decide to do weight lifting and you combine this with a healthy and nutritious diet and other types of exercising, then weight lifting will help you improve ten fold.</p>
<p>Some of the more popular exercises that include weight lifting are as follows: sit ups, shoulder press, power clean, bench press, calf raise, bicep curls, leg press, leg extension, chest press, lower back extensions and back squats, to name but a few. There are so many variations that you will find what is right for you in no time at all.</p>
<p>The main point to note down is that all of these really need to be supervised by a professional fitness instructor. You should never put too many weights on your exercise routine as you may end up injuring yourself permantly.
