Have you finally reached that point? Are you finally ready and motivated to replace your existing physique with a more muscular model? Do you want to learn how to build muscle fast?
Well, it is possible–within reason. But before you get too excited about going from the scrawny guy with sand in your face to becoming Charles Atlas, you need to keep your expectations in line with reality. You can learn how to build muscle in the most efficient way possible, but you’re simply not going to get that ideal look overnight.
Your current state is a byproduct of years of living a certain lifestyle. You can change, but it’s not realistic to think that you’re going to undergo a complete transformation overnight. It takes some time and effort to replace all of those previous years.
With that caveat in mind, let’s talk about the fastest way to build muscle. There are a few fundamentals that will serve as the basis for efficient muscle gain.
The first is diet. If you’re chucking the wrong fuel into your system, you won’t get the desired results. You need to up your protein intake, focusing on the consumption of lean meats. Start eating more chicken, lean beef and fish. Green vegetables are great and unlike starvation dieters, you need to maintain adequate carbohydrate levels to keep your energy level up. Find a smart diet plan for those in pursuit of increased muscle mass designed by a trustworthy expert and follow it.
Second, if you want to build muscle, you need to lift. You’re not going to get a muscular build on the treadmill. Cardio is great for your health, but it isn’t going to get you ripped. You need to follow a weightlifting program that combines targeted work with compound (whole body) activity like bench presses, military presses and squats. Your weight program should focus just as much on repetitions as it does on raw weight, too. Those higher rep levels will charge your muscle-building efforts.
Finally, you need to remind yourself of our earlier warning. You can’t completely modify your body in a matter of days. You need to develop a plan that you can actually maintain. Some moderation is in order. If you go all-out from the beginning, you risk both burnout and injury–neither of which will help you in the long run. Start with something manageable on all fronts and boost your workouts as you begin to make progress and are better able to handle the increased workload.
You can build muscle fast. It may not be “automatic,” but it can be quick if you’re doing things the right way.
