I got started about 13 years ago with body building, doing it after school. I had one main goal and that was to get huge. At first I just tried things out, then started buying magazines and trying to develop my own program. Once I got to university I wasn’t working out as often and it showed. Finally I got a lot more serious about working out when I was in graduate school. Going to the gym was a way of relaxing and getting my mind off all the intense study and sitting all day.
Whild at graduate school I ended up meeting a friend who who had developed a huge body and was very well proportioned. He ended up helping me with my weight lifting program and I started to see some amazing gains in all my muscles. I was eatiing better and exercising more efficient.
Once I started working, I found I had less and less time to go to the gym. Spending an hour at the gym to workout seemed like a lot. In 2003-2004 my wife and I decided we would be crazy and train and compete in an Ironman Triathlon. For over a year I worked out improving my distance on the bike, swimming and running long distances that I have never before done. This was a completely different way for me to workout. We completed the triathlon and I immediately went into a complete couch potatoe mindset. The thought I actually exercising had lost all appeal for me and slowly but surely my belly began to grow and grow and grow.
Then our first kid came a long. Talk about not having any time to work out or exercise. I would come home from work having been up the night before and have absolutely no energy to do anything. My diet sucked and I felt all around horrible.
One day I decided that there was really no more exuses. If I wanted more energy and to feel better I had to start moving my body. It was at this time that I started searching the internet for workout programs that would fit my lifestyle. I bought one then another and another and soon was the proud owner of 10+ ebooks on working out. Eventually I was able to develop a program that used whole body workout exercises, didn’t requre a lot of time and soon my body started to change and develop that more healthy look.
I now no longer to to the gym an lift heavy weights. I workout in the comfort of my own home using body weight exercises to get fitter. That is not to say that going to the gym is not beneficial, I have just finally found something I can do and not feel I am losing any time.
My hope with this website is to help you cipher through all the confusing information and give you my honest reviews so that you can spend more time buffing up your body and making a difference in your health.
